Vaccine passports (MVP) will no longer be a requirement from 11.59pm Monday 4 April.. To allow for this, we have extended our registrations cut-off date to 10.00pm Sunday 3rd April - but all registrations must be in by then

When does the season run?

The Junior season runs from the 7th May to the 10th September.

Park Locations

The Under 8 Grade plays Campbell Park, Paekakariki, Mazengarb Park, Paraparaumu, James Cook Memorial Park, Waikanae and Haruatai Park in Otaki. They rotate week after week.

How long are the games?

Under 8 grade play 4x12 minute games between 9-10am. It is suggested to arrive at the ground 15-20 minutes early to do a good warm up before starting. There is no half time in the game and a 2-3 minute break between games to allow movement between pitches.

Coaches

KCU is always seeking volunteers to assist with coaching our junior grades. Kapiti Coast United is very supportive of our volunteer coaches and are happy to assist coaches with upskilling their coaching abilities through courses provided by Capital Football. If you are interested in assisting please refer to the coaches sublink under juniors for contact details. 

KCU works with Capital Football to provide professional development for coaches. If you are interested in obtaining your level 1 and level 2 Junior Coaching Certificate this is available. Please contact the club via junior@kcu.co.nz.

Ahead of the 2022 season, New Zealand Football announced guidance, developed with Sport NZ and Federations, for delivering football and futsal under the Covid-19 Protection Framework., New Zealand Football have announced guidance, developed with Sport NZ and Federations, for delivering football and futsal under the Covid-19 Protection Framework.

New Zealand Football and Federations have confirmed football and futsal for participants aged over 12 years and three months will operate as My Vaccine Pass Gatherings. This is to ensure that the game remains compliant with the COVID-19 protection framework and can be played in the safest possible environment. 

All participants aged over 12 years and three months will require a valid My Vaccine Pass to be involved in these Gatherings. Participants aged 5-11 are encouraged to be vaccinated.
